Data Protection & Privacy

Privacy Policy

Our core privacy standard: Zero image bytes are ever transmitted over the network. All rendering occurs in your browser's local memory.

Effective Date: September 2026·Last Updated: September 5, 2026
01 · Core Architecture

100% Client-Side Processing (Zero Network Transmission)

When you upload, reposition, crop, design, or export channel artwork on YouTubeBannerMaker, your images never leave your computer or mobile device.

How your files are handled: All image decoding, canvas operations, template rendering, and file encoding are executed strictly in client-side RAM using standard browser HTML5 Canvas (CanvasRenderingContext2D) and File APIs.

No remote server processing: We do not operate an image processing server. We do not transmit, copy, cache, analyze, or archive your source images, logos, graphics, or exported banners to any cloud storage bucket, remote database, or third-party machine learning model.

No account creation: We do not require accounts, logins, passwords, or personal profiles. You do not need to share your name or email address to use our utilities.

02 · Client-Side State

Browser Storage & SessionStorage

To provide a seamless workflow across our tool doors (for example, allowing you to design a template in the Maker and immediately test its crops in the Safe Area Checker), we use the browser's temporary sessionStorage API.

  • Device-Only Scope: Data stored in sessionStorage remains entirely on your personal device and is accessible only by your active browser tab.
  • Session Lifetime: All temporary scene parameters (such as zoom scale, crop offsets, and chosen font pairings) are automatically discarded when you close the browser tab or window.
  • No Persistent Profiling: We do not use local storage to store unique user identifiers, device fingerprints, or cross-site tracking profiles.
03 · Advertising & Cookies

Third-Party Advertising & Google AdSense

To maintain YouTubeBannerMaker as a completely free utility without charging subscriptions, requiring sign-ups, or imposing watermarks, we display advertisements provided by third-party advertising vendors, including Google AdSense.

Google AdSense Cookie Disclosures

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website or other websites on the Internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to our site and/or other sites across the web.

How to Opt Out of Personalized Advertising

Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) opt-out page or the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) Choices tool.

Non-Personalized Ads & Consent

In regions requiring explicit consent for advertising cookies (including the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland), we respect your consent choices. If non-personalized ads are selected, cookies or mobile identifiers may still be utilized strictly for non-profiling purposes such as frequency capping, fraud mitigation, and aggregate performance reporting.

04 · Technical Telemetry

Server Access Logs & Operational Data

When you request static HTML, CSS, or font assets from our hosting infrastructure, our web servers record standard HTTP request logs. These logs typically include:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address
  • Browser type and version (User Agent)
  • Referring URL and requested page route
  • Date, time, and HTTP status code

Server access logs are retained strictly for network security, abuse monitoring, and DDoS prevention. Because user images are never uploaded to our servers, these logs contain zero image assets or design contents.

05 · International Rights

European & International Data Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have specific data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, or request erasure of personal data, and the right to object to processing.

Because YouTubeBannerMaker operates client-side and requires no user registration, we do not collect or maintain identifiable personal accounts. For questions or requests concerning your data protection rights, please contact our Data Privacy Officer at privacy@youtubebannermaker.com.

06 · California Disclosures

California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents are entitled to disclosures regarding personal information:

No Sale of Personal Information: YouTubeBannerMaker does not sell your personal information or image content.

No Sensitive Data Collection: We do not collect financial information, government identifiers, or precise geolocation data.

Right to Know and Delete: California residents have the right to request information about data collection practices and request deletion of personal information where applicable.
